Hawai'i Island made Koa Wood Boxes
Hawai'i Island made Koa Wood Boxes
I love, love these beautiful little boxes! Made here on the Big Island of Hawai’i from gorgeous Koa, Mango, and Sugi wood. Sugi is a type of Japanese cedar and has a lovely spicy scent. Some of the boxes are pure koa and a few are a mix of koa and sugi and the largest is koa and mango.
Here are some approximate measurements, due to the handcrafted nature of these boxes each varies a bit from box to box:
Small (4 boxes) 3 3/8” - 3 1/4 x 1 1/4” x 3/4” (depth from the inside with lid closed)
Medium (4 boxes) 3 1/2” - 3 3/4” x 1 1/2” x 3/4” (depth from the inside with lid closed)
Large (1 box) 4” x 1 5/8 “x 3/4 “ (depth from the inside with lid closed)
Please choose Small, Medium or large in the drop down. * the open boxes are not in order of smallest to largest, please blame 2020. They refuse to stay in order.
Wondering if your ring or necklace will fit in a box? Just ask and I will check for you! Each box is slightly different in size, so I would be happy to make sure your piece fits.
Each piece of Sea and Sky Studio jewelry is made using genuine surf-tumbled sea glass and is created using solid gold and silver by me, by hand, in my studio. Each piece is a true labor of love. I have done my best to carefully photograph each piece show its true color, but please allow for some shift as sea glass reflects what is around it as well as color shifts due to monitor differences. Thank you for considering my work for your collection!
