Amazing Davenport Green + Blue Swirl Necklace
Amazing Davenport Green + Blue Swirl Necklace
Wow...just wow! This piece is so unreal I don’t even know how to begin describing it! The sea glass is a truly, truly rare and treasured piece of Lundberg Studio glass that has been tumbling in the Pacific Ocean for the last 40+ years. This sea glass, known as Davenport Sea Glass, is always rare and amazing, but this particular piece is just outstanding! It would have been part of one of Lundberg’s famous paperweights or perhaps the end-glass (pontil) broken off after the making of a vase, shade or art piece. It is extraordinary! The cobalt blue, kelly green and white rays remind me of a nautilus shell - truly mesmerizing! I am always searching for the rarest sea glass to create pieces for you all and this one is truly one of the rarest!
I set this gorgeous sea glass in fine (pure) and sterling silver and it hangs from a sterling rolo style chain. The set sea glass measures approximately 45 by 40 mm. The chain and pendant measure 18 inches, so this necklace rests nicely on one’s chest. This is a substantial piece of sea glass and the total weight of the piece is x ounces. Meticulously crafted, this is a true heirloom piece of jewelry.
All jewelry is handcrafted by me in my metalsmithing studio on Hawai’i Island. I take meticulous care to bring you the best in rare and elevated sea glass jewelry. This piece is set in solid fine (pure) silver and solid sterling silver.
Each piece of Sea and Sky Studio jewelry is made using genuine surf-tumbled sea glass and is created using solid gold and silver by me, by hand, in my studio. Each piece is a true labor of love. I have done my best to carefully photograph each piece to show its true color, but please allow for some shift as sea glass reflects what is around it as well as color shifts due to monitor differences. Thank you for considering my work for your collection!
