This is a perfect example of gorgeous Murano sea glass! Found in the lagoon waters around the Island of Murano in Venice, Italy, this rare art glass remnant is stunning. The color of this piece is hard to describe, as it all depends on the angle you look! First, you see white opaque glass (yes, that is glass!) with blue behind it and then red deep within. From a distance, this piece comes together to look purple! It's magical! I set this pendant with two bails, so it may be worn differently to show the fabulous sea glass.

Murano sea glass is incredibly rare (trust me, I have been there and looked for it!). I do not know that we will be able to get more of this fantastic sea glass, so I am always pleased when I have an opportunity to work with it.

Set by me in fine and sterling silver, this piece measures (from the top of the bail) 41 mm x 31 mm x 18mm and hangs from a 16" Italian sterling silver chain or a gorgeous solid sterling collar necklace.
