Purple to Cornflower Blue Color Changing Neodymium Cuff
Purple to Cornflower Blue Color Changing Neodymium Cuff
From the gorgeous shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Spain comes this amazing piece of sea glass. Containing the chemical element Neodymium (Nd) this amazing sea glass changes colors depending on the light source. In daylight or “regular” bulbs it is bright purple, but pass it under fluorescent lights and it’s a fabulous cornflower blue. This rare sea glass is found in very few locations and this piece is a fabulous example. No camera tricks or filters were used in my photos, that’s really the color change! *Ring photos below are to demonstrate the amazing color shift.
This cuff is made to fit smaller wrist sizes. The total length before the cuff is bent is 5 1/2 inches.
This piece is handcrafted by me in my metalsmithing studio on Hawai’i Island. I take meticulous care to bring you the best in rare and elevated sea glass jewelry. This piece is set in fine (pure) silver and solid sterling silver.
PURCHASE
Each piece of Sea and Sky Studio jewelry is made using genuine surf-tumbled sea glass and is created using solid gold and silver by me, by hand, in my studio. Each piece is a true labor of love. I have done my best to carefully photograph each piece show its true color, but please allow for some shift as sea glass reflects what is around it as well as color shifts due to monitor differences. Thank you for considering my work for your collection!
